I think one has to be rather naive to think that the statement wasn't carefully worded by CCP. In non-newspeak it simply means: no gold-ammo (for now), but yes, other non-vanity items in the NEx Shop will come.

Still hoping for the best but... the deafening silence by CCP IMO can only mean one thing: non-vanity items in the NEX shop WILL come. They're just busy finding the "right" wording for it so as to make it sound totally awesome and fun and stuff.....
